Kavita Kewalramani, MD, MPH

Dr. Kavita Kewalramani (Dr. K) is a board certified Internist who strongly believes in the “food as medicine” philosophy of Hippocrates. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey. Prior to that she did a year of residency in Psychiatry at Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois. She also completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) at Columbia University and achieved a Certification in Medical Nutrition at Columbia University’s Institute of Human Nutrition.
Dr K combines her experience in medicine, psychiatry, nutrition, and public health to provide comprehensive patient care. As an Internist, she believes that chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, can be managed with diet and exercise alone, or in combination with medications. She advises that eating right and engaging in physical activity is important to staying healthy and should be a part of every person’s lifestyle.
Dr K also strongly believes in the role of preventive medicine. She provides preventive care including immunizations, screening for cancer and other diseases, identifying risk factors for disease, annual physicals, women’s health, discussing tips for a healthy and balanced lifestyle, as well as counseling on alcohol and smoking cessation.
Erin has several years of experience with guiding students in building a meditation practice. She has completed her Masters in Mindfulness Studies from Lesley University. She teaches children, teenagers, and their parents mindfulness meditation practices and strategies. She is a long-term meditator, attends silent retreats, and collaborates often with others on effective integration of meditation with education, palliative care, and digital mindfulness.
Scott’s culinary roots began from birth. Growing up in his father’s restaurant, he was constantly surrounded by food and cooking, on both a professional and personal level. This immersion guided him to create Cuisine Inspirations, LLC which is a service geared at providing customized in-home solutions for his clients’ cooking and entertaining needs. Cuisine Inspirations provides everything from a personal chef service to dinner parties, cooking classes and even an in-home knife sharpening service. Scott specializes in food allergies, special diets, and helping his clients lead healthier lives. In addition, Scott has been a member of the United States Personal Chef Association since 2009.
Scott was also a corporate chef coordinator for Williams Sonoma where he created and conducted cooking classes for small and large groups. He has had several of his recipes published in books and has had the honor of cooking for many of the top chefs in the country, including Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay, Ina Garten, and Jamie Oliver. Scott believes that food is a very important puzzle piece in maintaining a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.
